The hare hunting season with galgos started last Saturday 12/10, El Pilar Day, and will remain open until the fourth Sunday of January in the year 2025.

"The campaign as contemplates the hunting order of the Community starts in all hunting quarters in the region on this day in which, traditionally raised the curtain on minor hunting throughout Spain, although years ago this does not happen anymore that each community maintains its own hunting orders and specific hunting calendars.
The regional federation of galgos will participate in the preliminary qualifying phases with 130 galgo clubs and correspond to opt for the national four groups, which are distributed in three groups of 32 clubs and one of 34 being the deadline to qualify the four galgoss champions of each group, who will compete only one hare per collar, and who will represent Castile and León in the national. At the meeting approved the schedule of the start of the regional competitions that will be next November 1, with the finals scheduled for December 21 on a race track yet to be determined. ”
