From Sandy Galgoslover.
'We received a message from Helping Animals Almanzora that a galgo had been spotted in Pulpi. After calling the girl, Fátima Sofía, who asked for help, it turned out that the galgo was living in miserable conditions and had a wound on her front leg.
The police had been there to check whether she had a microchip, but she didn't. No further action was taken, fortunately for the dog. When we arrived there was no trace of the injured galgo. After some searching we found her behind a house, without going into details it was clear that this person didn’t have the best intentions
.
We took her and went straight to the vet. The wound was treated and cleaned, and she was given a microchip and name: Kelly. A blood test was also done and fortunately she tested negative for “the big four”. Kelly is safe and will be given time to recover and can look forward to a life
