Meet Urraca, This sweetheart is 4 years old and comes from the Badajoz region. Urraca could no longer satisfy her master so she had to disappear. Luckily she’s safe now.
Upon her arrival at the Rescue Center we noticed that this girl's nails were terribly long. What we already feared, the blood test confirmed “positive for Leushmania”. In the meantime, we have already started her treatment. Since the level of her leishmania is very high, we were recommended for treatment with injections. This treatment is immediately absorbed into the body.
Glucantime is a very heavy treatment, fortunately for Urraca the disease hasn’t affected her organs so she can endure this treatment without any danger. She’s doing fine at the moment.
