From Galgos Rescue Almeria.
'Delia arrived at our Shelter a few weeks ago. This sweet girl had such a sad look in her eyes. After a checkup and a blood test, it turned out at first sight that Dalia had Filaria (heart worm). Again a blood sample was taken for laboratory research, unfortunately this also turned out to be positive for Filaria. This disease can be treated if caught on time and with the right medication.
We have started her treatment. The first weeks are a cocktail of pills and during the treatment she has to receive 3 injections.
