Galgos 112 explains what a galgo needs to learn when going into foster or adoption.
'Galga Leía just arrived at her foster home. The most trivial things are a challenge for her. From going up and down stairs, an elevator, TV or a vacuum cleaner. At first it's not easy for them and it's the work of the family that welcomes them to help them get through this stage patiently, without trauma. It's an exciting and very rewarding task.
Being foster family is not only opening your home to a dog who needs to physically recover. It's so much more. To foster also means meeting each dog, understanding and introducing him into a different world by taking the first steps in his education. It's accompanying him and giving him the help he needs to recover that worthy life he should always have.
If you haven't had this experience yet we encourage you to host at least once, better if more. Without foster homes we can't help them anymore.
