Protectora Scooby - 3 galgo pups thrown over the wall!

22/11/2019 - 2 Hours ago, 3 galgopups from some 4 months young were thrown over the wall from the big playfield at the Scooby residencia. They are of course terrified, it´s very dark there and impossible to catch them now so they will have to spend the dark and cold night outside. They have access to an empty kennel where I´ve put water, food and blankets and can only hope they will find it...It is too dark to make pictures of them but tomorrow I will if they are still there which of course I hope with all my heart because normally the dogs can´t escape from there. I´ve called the police and they will come here tomorrow so at least they know that these things are happening here! I hate these galgueros who do this so much, I´m ready to kill a few of them!!

Galgo's Rescue Almeria - small shelter saving the galgos and podencos

I've had an appeal for help for this small rescue shelter in Almeria. They have several hounds at the moment needing vet treatment and struggle to raise funds for this. Please take a look at their website and help if you can. Below is a recent arrival desperately needing help.

Gitana - this fragile girl arrived at GRA. This girls is under weight ( barely 15kg ) and have some wounds. Unfortunately Gitana tested positive for Leish and Erlichia. A treatment with doxiciclina has been started to treat her Erlichia and for her Leish she is going to need Leishguard, Allopurinol and Milteforan. It’s going to take some while before this fragile girl is ready to go to a new family.

In the meanwhile she is going to get all the treatments necessary to control her Leish. Also she is going to need special food to gain weight. And lots of love to pull her true.

All help is welcome/ needed to support Gitana.

Above all, make it clear that this album did not intend to hurt anyone, nor, of course, morbidly wallow in the terrible hardships and mistreatment of galgos (Spanish greyhounds) and podencos.

After some hesitation, I decided to gather this series of images as a response to all those who deny and conceal this reality, trivialize it by saying that cases of abuse and neglect of these dogs are just a few, as well as that these are perpetrated by individuals who steal the dogs from their original owners. In the sight of all these pictures, it does not look like we are talking about "4 cases", as has been said, does it?

A picture is worth a thousand words, and, unfortunately, there are many images here. There exist many more; these are just the ones that I myself I have been finding, without especially looking for them, throughout a not very long time of dissemination of galgos and podencos in need of a home.

Ann's Canine Care, Malaga - another needy soul saved off the street

'We've had yet another emergency off the streets today. No chip, no name, so no justice for him. A piece of trash to his hunter/breeder. I'm beginning to hate them all with a vengeance. Don't anybody ever tell me there are good hunters/ breeders. THERE REN'T ANY.

This gorgeous boy was so exhausted he walked straight to his bed, got in and fell asleep. He has an injury to his leg/paw, not sure which yet but, he will be seen by the vet on Monday.
