From my canine gang Carmela, Bebe, Polar and Bracken - Wishing all my readers only good things in 2018...and wishing for an end to all animal cruelty...well, one can wish!

Scooby Protectora - their work never ends...please support them

This month there are more galgos arriving at the Scooby shelter, several dogs in very poor condition or with health problems, this 4-month old puppy and another tiny abandoned puppy with rickets in its front legs...needing medicine and special food.

Here's one of the galgos, malnourished and full of wounds. How can anyone let a dog get in this state?! And galgueros claim to love their dogs!!

When he recovers will need a family that will care him as he deserves and give him a lot of love ❤.

Galgos & greyhounds spreading their wings in Europe.

Greyhounds in Need was founded by Anne Finch in 1996...GIN also help the galgos of Spain. There are also Greyhounds in Nood Belgium - some lovely photos on their website, Greyhound Rescue Holland, PetLevrieri Italy, to name just a few countries which adopt galgos and podencos.

Story of a happy ending for 3 ex-racing greyhounds rescued this month from the Chinese hell and now finding homes in Italy.

A wish for all galgos and greyhounds

Wish all galgos and greyhounds could enjoy life like my 3 - currently keeping warm in front of the woodburner!

(It's a wish for all dogs, just used my galgos on this page!)

Campaign - get Pet Oxygen Masks on all fire engines

Can we run this as a campaign...to get pet masks on all fire engines for the brave fire fighters who rescue animals as well as humans. Please share it with all your friends and contacts. Why not fundraise for your local fire station to provide the masks if they don't already have any.
