Earlier this week, a young Spanish woman was strolling through the field when she came upon a helpless galga, who didn't want to drink or eat. She allowed her to pet her, she thought the galga was just lying there to die.
Isla says, 'Of course, we couldn't look the other way, we caught her to take her to the vet and then we realized that she was injured, that's why she was lying and not moving.
The vet has done all the pertinent tests, he's put serum with vitamins and restorative, he's taken blood samples - of course the galga has no chip - and he's made the plates. She's got a hip fracture, very ugly, at a joint level.
We visited the following day, she is still poorly, they have done an ecograph and she has a lot of fluid and infection. Now it's time to wait for the recovery of her general state, first to save her life and then focus on the injury. She in in the vet clinic in Campillos (Málaga).
Fingers crossed for her, lucky they were walking nearby.
