Galgo puppies at Pepis Dog Refuge

Hopefully you can view this short video of the galgo puppies at Pepis Dog Refuge. With the help of volunteer Chloe, Jane and Alan now have 2 new pens for the 18 puppies from the 2 galgas dumped on them earlier this year in late stages of pregnancy. All these puppies will need vaccinations and Pet Passports. Please donate if you can help.

Annual Manifestation in Strasbourg - 6th June 2015 - C.R.E.L.

The annual march in Strasbourg from the European Parliament this year takes place on 6th June 2015. If you can go, especially with your dog/s, please get in touch with C.R.E.L. All the details are on this link. Look in the top right-hand corner for your language translation. Unfortunately I won't be able to go as, after breaking vertebrae in my back in January, I am unable to walk far. Let me know if any of you are going.

Pepis Dog Refuge - all in a day's work

Hope you can see this video of the kennels at Pepis. Jane and Alan arriving for feeding and cleaning duties, Thank you to Anpana who have helped enormously in the improvements to the kennels, including new roof and brick shelters for the dogs. Many of the galgos are going to Italy for rehoming, but there are over 50 other hounds including podencos who all need forever homes. And if you fancy a week's 'holiday', Jane and Alan will be pleased to welcome you and your help!

FBI considers animal abuse as a crime alongside murders

Should happen in every country. Animal abusers generally go on to be murderers and abusers of humans. They practice on animals first.

Pepis Dog Refuge - puppies need protection

Monique and Scarlet are 2 galgas who were abandoned by Pepis Dog Refuge, heavily pregnant. Between them they have 18 surviving puppies. These all need protection - vaccinations, michipping, etc. - especially vaccinations. With over 70 dogs are the refuge, donations are desperately needed to pay for the puppies' protction. Please donate , say it is for puppies' protection.

Galga Valentina at Last Hope Dog Rescue, Murcia

This beautiful galga is called Valentina. Irene Allen of Last Hope Dog Rescue in Murcia tells her story.

We rescued this beautiful galga on Valentines day, she found her way up the road towards our finca . She is just over one year old and full of fun,loves giving you kisses and not traumatised at all . She is negative for all med diseases and lives in the house with all our dogs, from small shih Tzu to German Shepherd to many many podencos. We have 49 dogs here now eek!! She is just a wonderful galga.
