This poor galgo on a 5m chain is one of 50 galgos and podencos discovered last week in Valencia. Galgos 112 are working with the Spanish police to save them. They have issued a denuncia against the owner. You can read the story on this link

oh poor things well i hope galgos 112 get the help they want hope people come fwd to take them in seeing as they ant got kennels them selves and have to pay for kenneling this is awful

What an absolute disgrace, those poor dogs, fifty of them! I hope they can save them. It is awful and that poor dog on such a short chain, unable to move. Even though some of the pictures aren't close up, the absolute terrible state of those dogs can be seen.

All the dogs have been rescued. A enclosed field was found for some of them; others needed medical attention; two require surgery. Help is still needed with foster homes for the ones in the field - probably at risk from being stolen for the next hunting season. A
nd I have now learnt of a similar case in Almeria where Seprona are trying to gain access.

well i hope all the rescues and foster homes pull together and just take one each i know its easy for us to say over here cause i know everyone full

Ended up being 58 dogs rescues in total. SO glad they are rescued but need foster homes asap. I would love to help but as kennels still not finished and with 11 of my own in the house, totally impossible :(

Charl del Rio has offered to take 3 traumatised ones - she works miracles with traumatised dogs. There are other associations helping. 58 dogs! How can one man have so many?
