I posted a few days ago about Pepis Dog Refuge, Seville. Latest news from Susan Dawson, who is working to raise funds to help them. For those of you who so kindly wanted to donate to help, you can do so via this link as well as via Paypal.
Galga Sienna gave birth to 9 pups this week. Sienna was recently found tied up cruelly with twine outside Pepis with another white galgo Lasso. It was evident that she was expecting pups, the vet advised it was too late to abort the litter as she was so close to giving birth.
She has now given birth to 9 healthy pups, 4 girls and 5 boys, thankfully all are doing well. However, this is another 9 dogs for Pepis to care for, now bringing our total to over 80 dogs, 28 of these are galgos. In the last year Pepis has been unable to take any dogs in at all from pound situations, so many have been abandoned there. Jane and Alan never turn a dog away, they always take them into Pepis and care for them.
Thankfully, Sienna has now been offered her forever home in Belgium once she has reared her pups, she will be going to live with another Pepis galgo Balesteros, this is wonderful news. We are appealing for donations to help care for these pups, there will be vacinnations, worming, vet bills, food and general healthcare to pay for over the coming months until they are adopted
Can you donate and help Sienna's pups please? Your £10 would help to buy the food and veterinary care for our galgo pups, this would make a big difference to the refuge. In recognition of your support you will be sent a personal letter of thanks with an information leaflet from Pepis Dog Refuge
Pepis Refuge is solely dependent upon voluntary donations raised through events and charitable donations. Without such help they could not continue their work, please help Pepis continue saving the lives of these wonderful dogs.
And don't forget, all their galgos will need adoption and forever homes. Contact Pepis direct - allow a few days for them to get back to you, because of their Internet problems.
