There will be a lack of posts this weekend, my daughter is coming out to stay, I haven't seen her for 11 months, and so shan't be sitting at the computer during her short time with me. That doesn't mean there aren't loads of appeals coming in - dogs rescued, dogs stolen - yes, the gitanos are after the galgos to sell to the hunters - refuges struggling.
Had an interesting visit to the vet today with my galga Carmela.
She developed a small sore on her under belly which started to form a narrow line from one side of her chest to the other. Today the vet put her under anaesthetic, expecting to find a grass seed travelling inside her.
Instead she found a minute barb - the sting from a wasp - which had tunnelled across Carmela's belly! It is so small, it is a miracle that my wonderful vet found it! But she did!
So now Carmela resembles Troya, with Silvia in Valencia, with a big bandage around her stomach! Luckily Carmela's body will not take as long to heal.
By the way, Silvia is collecting bottle tops. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to find out how to help.
