This is yet another example of the despicable heartlessness of Spanish hunters; this podenca was abandoned about a month ago in a village 90 kms from Albacete. Some people are leaving her food, but she is obviously starving to death.

I would add that, as you will see from one of the pictures, it looks as though the podenca is inside some sort of enclosure, so I wonder why she has not been caught and taken to a refuge or dog pound already - why is she still loose? Perhaps someone in the area can explain this to me.
In the meantime, I pray she survives.
