The following people in the European Parliament have 'recognised the need for improved animal welfare in Europe'.
John Dalli, the candidate Commissioner for Health and Consumers, stated that animal health and animal welfare will be core issues during his time in office.
Agriculture Commissioner is Dacian Cioloş.
Janez Potočnik is the proposed Environment Commissioner.
I have to admit that at the moment I am heavily occupied with completing a project which is intended for release whilst Spain has the EU presidency. So if anyone would like to compose a letter to all these people and the EU President about the balming and the galgo massacre now under way in Spain, then I will post it on Galgo News for all to copy, paste and send off.
