So, you're in Villa Martin in Spain? Nice place? Lots of people on holiday? Oh dear, a tornado struck certain areas. Poor people on holiday. Sarcastic, am I? So, why not, what about the San Anton Shelter in Villa Martin?
Who thought about the poor animals there? Who thought about the poor volunteers, devastated after years of hard work to improve conditions for the animals abandoned and saved by San Anton Shelter? Oh, dear, poor holidaymakers!!! Get out there, you holiday makers, and help repair the San Anton Shelter! Do something worthwhile with your life!
This is the message just received from Telma of GRIN, Galgo Rescue International Network.
Tornado Hits San Anton Shelter in Villa Martin Spain.
On the morning of Dec. 24th the San Anton Shelter was a victim of a tornado that caused damage to this shelter, knocking out electric and water supply for the dogs. Saskia and her rotating volunteers from Holland had been slowly repairing the already run down shelter over the last few years and now this.
Their surveillance cameras that were brought from Holland to curb the theft of their precious galgos was finally installed this year and as you can see it was dismantled by this disaster. We hope they can salvage the equipment.
“The dogs are cold, wet and there is no water” she says and we know how disheartening the volunteers at San Anton must feel.
Please, if you would like to donate to their cause, please PayPal a donation to GRIN for the Shelter Relief for San Anton. Thank You.
