Today after having spoken with several people of the galgo world to verify the information flowing through the network, the president of the Spanish club of galgos has confirmed to me that several dogs have not yet been returned and that there are enough dogs that have not yet an owner
That is why we came up with the idea of proposing that we will take the dogs who are "left over" to avoid to be returned to their previous life.

Update on Karmel 17/11
Karmel has been on 1 Megasolene tablet per day for the past couple of months, and this has kept the Pemphigus Foliaceous symptoms from reappearing. Her hair is slowly growing back where she previously suffered hair loss from the pistules, and with a daily spray of Humiderm, her skin is less dry. In herself she is a normal happy galga.
Yesterday she had another trip to the vet, for more tablets and to give a blood sample.

At times I feel very humble, when amazing things develope from Galgo News. Just one weblog reaching out into the world, amongst how many million others? And yet, it only takes a few key words in a search engine, up pops Galgo News, an email arrives in my Inbox, and I type a few lines in reply.

This is a message from a contact in the USA, but this man could equally make enquiries of any of the UK or European rescue associations.
I'm posting to alert those of you who work in adoption groups to beware of an inquiry from a man in Canada who is trying to adopt a greyhound for potentially racing in India. I answer emails for Greyhound Friends here in MA, and I've received several emails from this person wanting to adopt from us.
